Plan Before You Start Your Interior Decoration Project


Interior decoration needs to be well-planned including the budget, priorities, floor plan, tools, equipments and supplies needed and actual purpose of the project including family planning, changing style and theme of home, repainting it, orderlies or disabled people along with making addition to the home and getting rid of moisture in homes, so that you don't run into problems that you haven't thought of before. Here are some things that you need to keep in mind before you start working on the project:



• Write down the desired features and elements such as additional storage or change in furniture.

• Mark the options you can do yourself and you do not need to spend money on them such as rearranging the furniture and artwork and getting rid of clutter in one color.

• Use another color to mark the DIY options with small budget.

• The left-out items such as changing electrical and plumbing systems, major renovations and remodeling and installing high-tech intricate appliances may need professional help and more money, so you can prioritize them and implement them at your ease.

• Floor plans can be made by hand or using software. If the blueprint of the house is available, you can have exact structural, electrical and plumbing layouts and dimensions. Take into account measurements of walls, doors, windows, fireplace and other fixed.

• An interesting furniture arrangement idea with fireplace as focal point includes placement a pair of loveseats or a sofa, coffee table and two club chair set in front of the fire, facing each other.

• Sofa can be placed facing the fireplace, window or TV and then end tables and side tables can be kept according to the position of the sofa.

• There should be enough space to reach the dresser or closet in the bedroom, ideally two feet.

• For quality dιcor in small budget, it is best to do as much as you can on your own including buying the material you need.

• However, hire a professional for electrical and plumbing work for safety and quality work.

• Set aside some money for unexpected expenditure.
