Home Design Planning Preparation

Before you engage an interior designer to design your home, you need to have a floor plan for them. This is the most important piece of document that all interior designers need. Without this document, they simply do not know where or how to begin. Of course, before you pass your floor plan to them, there are a couple of things you need to prepare:



• What kind of home design you want? For example, country-style designs, modern home design or contemporary design. If need be, look out for interior books for more ideas.

• What kind of colours will you want your house to be painted?

• Kitchen layout.

• Wardrobe – for example, how many cabinets you want to have, colours that suit your bedroom

In general, you need to list down which areas of your house for your home design planning. As a rule of thumb for whatever home design style you go for, the most important question is this: “Will I come back home and feel relax”?
